Hello and thank you for visiting my website. I’m Dr Alison Cornwall and my mobile large animal practice serves Central Vermont. I treat horses, cattle, small ruminants, camelids, and pigs, and I also perform at home pet euthanasia for all large and small animals.
I provide preventative medicine and husbandry as well as all aspects of general medicine and surgery from equine lameness to unwell dairy cattle to goats with skin problems and everything in between. My goal is to provide gentle, complete, and high quality care to every patient that I see while simultaneously offering owner education as it is desired. My mobile service includes digital X-Ray that allows immediate viewing of radiographs as well as reproductive and diagnostic ultrasound capabilities. My recent schooling (I graduated University of California, Davis in 2007) and extensive continuing education help me to stay on top of the most current therapies. I also have many years of practical experience from which to pull when making decisions about the health and wellbeing of my patients. I love field work and working on people’s farms and can offer any level of field care. I am well accustomed to working within tight budgets, but also frequently practice very high end medicine.
I also serve the small animal population of this area by providing a compassionate at-home euthanasia service for older and ill dogs and cats who are frightened by or too ill to travel to their regular small animal veterinarian’s office. While it is never fun for a veterinarian to euthanize any animal, I feel that providing a gentle passing in the loving arms of their owners and in their own homes for older pets is a kindness.
Please feel free to call or email me if you have questions or would like to make an appointment.
